John's Picnic 2004 - Page 17

Who would want one of them high-tech Jap things when you could have something like this?

Beautiful...

Four-door hardtop '57 Ford looking good in Salmon Pink and White.
Mercury Coupe that says 'MINT46' on the plates... or maybe it's a '48, but who cares. It's nice.

So how many of you remember your primary school education on Roman numerals?

Give up?

XXXII = 32

An absolutely stunning late '40s style Deuce 3-window.

I have never met the bloke, but apparently he was or is the the president of the Ferrari Club. Good to see he finally figured it out and got a hot rod!

Lots of nice details on this car, although I think that red pinline is actually tape. That HAS to go!
It's got all the right bits, that's for sure.
This kind of look is becoming much more popular. Fairly stock wheels, whitewalls and a low stance. Maybe it's so the whallopers (cops) will leave them alone, or maybe (as I've known for years), it just looks better.

Just another interesting roadster that I saw parked on the grass.

All up there were around 2000 entrants, so it was bloody hard to see everything in one day.

I tried though.

This is another one of my favourite Victorian hot rods. I saw it for the first time at the Nationals in 2003 and took a bunch of pics then.

Just a great combination.
