John's Picnic 2004 - Page 16

This is Mr Quaife Sr's car. Apparently it will be painted one day. From memory the dashboard is already painted a dark green.

This is a very tidy roadster which has a few very clever tricks up its sleeve.

I met the owner, Joe, on a recent trip to Melbourne, he sure has done a lot of work to this car.

Like stack injection converted to EFI and a set of Flatattack heads. Nice...

Right next to Joe's car is this channelled beauty that has been a Melbourne hot rod forever!

Of course, it's a Spades car.

Howzabout an Indian Bobber. Very, very cool.
One of my favourite cars and yet another Spades member. Beau Ledger's very cool Tudor was featured in The Rodder's Journal along with Graeme Blaby's car.
A couple of 'mini-Spades' go for a fang in their mini-roadster. In true hot rod form they blew something up and pushed it back.
Could be the fact they're wearing German helmets while driving an American-inspired automobile.
A close up of Beau's engine. Thickstun covers on a flathead is a great look.
Another mildly chopped and customised bike.
