Panel and Paint - Page 3

As you can see, they fixed pretty much every panel.
Looking good and not long to go now. Just gotta get the paint for the roof sorted.
Don't worry, I'm not on acid! I asked the painter to spray a test panel with the colour I wanted on the roof.
Although I didn't want to do a major colour change on the body of the car, I was pretty keen to add a bit of extra sparkle to the roof.

So after checking out a few paint samples at various car shows, I decided I'd like to get some House Of Kolor Abalone Flake.

As you can see from the above photos, it changes colour quite a bit, but I still wasn't sure as it was hard to get an idea of what it would look like from a flat bit of metal.

So I thought, stuff it! Just to make sure I'll get the painter to throw in some extra flake.
In the end he put about twice the recommended dose into the clear.
The whole roof was then flow-coated with straight clear and it turned out pretty nice. These pics are from inside my garage which only has a couple of crappy light bulbs. It's quite subtle, but wait until the sun hits it!
