Kinda jumping forward a bit here as what I'm showing off is my new exhaust. Yes it is attached to an engine, but you'll have to read all about that in the 'The Donk!' section. |
| It's a pretty straight forward two-inch system with a balance pipe. The balance pipe is meant to take out some of the 'bark', but if you ask me, it's a bit noisier than the old straight-through system. | ![]() |

At long last she was back in the shed and running. I drove it for a few weeks making sure everything was OK mechanically, and then it was off to get the rest of the bodywork done. Sad but happy. |

Once again it was down to Open Top and they didn't stuff around. They got all this done in one week, including pulling out the rear panel which had been hit two weeks after I'd had the car painted the first time! That sucked. Touch wood I'll be a bit luckier this time around! |

This fender lip was the worst part of the car with most of it rusted out. When I was young and silly I had fat tyres on it that used to scrub. The inner lip filled up with rubber dust and held the moisture. The last guy to repair it brazed it up and then bogged it. This time I supplied a fender lip which they stitched into my car. Should last a bit longer. |

Both rear quarter were getting a bit rusty, so a bit of chicken wire and newspaper sorted that out. Just kidding guys! It was all welded up and looks good. |

Nice of them to leave the trim holes in place. Made life a bit easier later on. |

I dropped by again a few weeks later and most of the bodywork was done. They still needed to sort out the roof and do some final blocking. Did I mention the roof? I had some plans! |
